The CBRED Project is establishing a Market Service Center (MSC) for Renewable Energy, which will serve as the focal point in the country for RE market development, by providing a link between investors/stakeholders and government institutions, particularly, the DOE, to harmonize expectations and mutual support. The MSC is being organized and it will, initially be under the administrative supervision of the DOE’s Energy Investments Promotion Office, which was recently created to facilitate private sector investments in the energy sector.
Expected Outputs
- At the onset, the major functions of the MSC will include the assistance to RE project proponents in coordinating with relevant government agencies including the DOE to facilitate the permitting process for RE project approval, the provision of technical advisory and information services and the promotion of the financing programs developed for the CBRED Project.
